I love being an artist and a mother. My creativity is influenced greatly by trying to see things the way my kids look at the world. Letting go of myself and creating with emotions right at the surface is really what just happens when I'm working. It's very honest and raw at times. Painting and drawing also help to calm and express any anxiety or stress that I might carry during a normal day. As a parent you need to find time to release and center yourself again to be worth anything to your children.
